Welcome to Southeast Career Pathways (9-12)

I take great honor in working with scholars and families as the principal of Southeast Career Pathways (SECP). Southeast Career Pathways is a small high school that provides scholars an alternative plan to reach graduation and opportunities following high school completion. Scholars are referred to SECP by their base school.

We welcome all scholars and families to visit and learn more about our school. Our staff is waiting to be a part of your success. For more information about SECP, please contact the school at 616-819-2666.

Southeast Career Pathways supports scholars in reaching their graduation goals.

As an alternative high school, Southeast prides itself on having small class sizes and great staff-to-student relationships. Classes at Southeast are nine weeks long. This helps scholars complete credit recovery at a faster rate, giving scholars the option to graduate and receive their diploma from their base high school. Southeast also works with community partners and Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) to provide opportunities to GRPS scholars within the community. We want our scholars to not only finish high school, but be prepared to excel in the real world after they graduate!

Meet Our Principal

We have incorporated distance learning for years and are poised to be a leader in the district as a blended model of new technologies and old practices, giving our students the best of both worlds. Our 1-to-1 student technology device approach ensures that every student has the opportunity to learn inside and outside the classroom.
